Mayor Norma Bustamante of Mexicali allocated nearly 20 million pesos to equip the Heroic Fire Department with 14 fire extinguishing machines, one urban rescue vehicle unit, and four ambulances.
“We know that your dedication deserves more actions, which is why we are providing you with these vehicle units to reduce emergency response times and offer faster, more efficient assistance, both in Valle and the city, ensuring the safety of every resident and their families,” the mayor of Mexicali said, underscoring her administration’s commitment to firefighters.

She also announced that thanks to the 2-peso donation collected in municipal government receipts, new tools could be given to the Heroic Fire Department.
Firefighter Chief Rubén Osuna explained that of the 14 fire extinguishing machines, 8 will be distributed in the city along with the rescue unit, while in the Valle Norte area, three fire extinguishing machines and two ambulances will be assigned to the stations in Morelos, Algodones, Benito Juárez, and Hermosillo.
In addition, three fire extinguishing machines and two ambulances will be given to the Valle Sur area, benefiting the stations in Guadalupe Victoria, Nuevo León, Michoacán de Ocampo, Delta, and Carranza.
