Mayor Norma Bustamante of Mexicali reaffirmed her commitment to the well-being of entrepreneurial families by distributing financial aid through the FOMYDE entrepreneurship and innovation program. Additionally, municipal social well-being and citizen assistance services were provided.
“Small businesses—whether family-run or individual—generate income for everyone, creating an economic ripple effect for those who see entrepreneurship as a way to support their families,” the mayor said.

Through FOMYDE, 13 grants totaling 94,000 pesos were awarded. The Citizen Assistance Office provided 38 grants worth 180,000 pesos, while Social Well-Being provided 3 grants worth 15,000 pesos. Additionally, BISOM delivered housing construction and renovation aid exceeding 188,000 pesos.
This event was attended by Ysmael Rodríguez Pérez, Economic Development Coordinator; Gabriela Valdez Anaya, Citizen Assistance Coordinator; and José Ramón López Hernández, Director of Municipal Social Well-Being.
