The commemorative Flag Day ceremony—honoring the national symbols representing national identity and pride—was led Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana. This ceremony took place at the Monumento a la Madre terrace, where the raising of the National Flag took place.
In his speech, Mayor Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana underscored the significance of this civic event as a reflection of commitment to the nation: “By paying tribute to our Flag, we express admiration and homage to the heroes and heroines who gave us a homeland. But with this event, we also recognize the men and women of today who, through their daily efforts, contribute to building a better country.”

As part of this commemorative event, municipal authorities, special guests, and citizens in attendance performed the corresponding civic honors, led by the War Band Escort of the Enrique Borges Mangel Military School and the Music Band of the 25th City Hall of Tijuana.
Additionally, the municipal president highlighted that the government he leads works tirelessly for the well-being of all Tijuana residents, demonstrating appreciation and commitment to Mexico.

“I am convinced that honoring our national symbols should go beyond school, as this helps keep civic values, hope, and national unity alive in everyday life,” he concluded.
At this ceremony, the mayor, accompanied by the Secretary of Government, Arnulfo Guerrero León, and Municipal Ombudswoman Teresita Balderas Beltrán, delivered 10 flag certificates—valid to obtain a regulation flag—to pastors from several churches.

This event was attended by Councilor Magaly Ronquillo Palacios; Firefighter Director Rafael Carrillo Venegas; city chronicler, Mario Ortiz Villacorta Lacave; and General Staff Graduate Infantry Colonel José Guadalupe Gómez Salado, among other municipal authorities.
