Tijuana Mayor and Baja California Governor Lead Event
Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda thanked those who enthusiastically gathered this Sunday at the entrance of Avenida Revolución to be part of this initiative led by the Mexican government to prevent crime and addiction through sports.
“From Avenida Revolución, in the heart of the city, Tijuana and Baja California residents have come together to put on gloves and deliver a knockout to addiction, violence, and crime. Because those are not life options—life options are sports, culture, and fighting so that everyone has opportunities,” Governor Ávila Olmeda stated.
It is worth noting that the state governor connected with Mexico City and other parts during the event, demonstrating the commitment and importance of this strategy. Thousands of people, including officials from all levels of government and athletes, participated in this physical activity.
