Mayor Ismael Burgueño of Tijuana Commits to Urban Development with New Road Upgrades

This project will benefit more than 1,000 residents at San Jorge, Cuauhtémoc, and Sonora Streets.

Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana has formally launched hydraulic concrete road reconstruction projects at Colonia Magisterial. These projects are part of the commitments made by this municipal government to modernize urban infrastructure and improve the city’s mobility.

At this project’s launch ceremony, Ismael Burgueño, Mayor of the City of Tijuana, highlighted the importance of these actions that are to be permanently implemented in the city’s neighborhoods through the Secretariat of Territory, Urban, and Environmental Development (SDTUA) to have adequate and accessible roads.

The head of SDTUA, Virginia Vargas González, said that this project—with an investment of 3,657,000 million pesos—will benefit 1,100 residents of the Magisterial and Las Torres neighborhoods, part of the Otay Centenario Delegation.

This event was attended by Claudia Casas Valdés, Otay Centenario Delegate; Councilor Rogelia Arzola Santillán; and the Director of Municipal Urban Infrastructure and Projects (DOIUM), Fram Ochoa Chávez.

Through these projects, the municipal government reaffirms its commitment to the city’s progress by carrying out actions to enhance urban infrastructure, streamline traffic, and contribute to a better quality of life for all people.
