Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana met with representatives of the National Chamber of Commerce, Services, and Tourism (CANACO-SERVYTUR) to enhance competitiveness and continue contributing to the city’s growth to benefit the quality of life of its residents and promote sustainable development, which is one of the priorities of Tijuana’s 25th City Hall.
At CANACO facilities, the Mayor was welcomed by the organization’s President, Julián Palombo Saucedo, who thanked the Mayor for his attention and interest in advancing issues of common interest that will impact Tijuana’s progress.

Highlighting the importance of strengthening collaboration with all productive sectors, the Mayor of Tijuana stated: “I appreciate the opportunity to be here with you. We are here to find ways to make projects a reality—the key word is make a reality—and that’s why we must move forward with priorities. Our motto is Responsibility of All, so I invite you to join us in these projects and leave a legacy together.”
At this meeting, several proposals were reviewed, including the creation of a CANACO liaison with the City Hall, the expansion of municipal services, and municipal payments within the Municipal Government’s business window at CANACO.

Facilitating and streamlining procedures and authorizations to open and improve convenience store operations, establishing an agreement to implement the Green Business or Sustainable Commerce distinction, and other proposals were also discussed.
The Mayor was accompanied by the Secretary of Economic Development, Pedro Montejo Peterson, and SEDETI Director of Economic Promotion, Lucía Aguirre Inzunza.
