During a community well-being event at Secundaria 206 in the Residencial del Bosque neighborhood, Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana announced a 2.5 billion peso investment for paving, road resurfacing, pothole repairs, and other initiatives aimed at benefiting the city.
In front of residents, the mayor stated that this will be the best government in Tijuana’s history, as the 2.5 billion pesos will be used to improve urban infrastructure, enhance the region’s image through efficient waste collection, and contribute to neighborhood security with better-lit streets.

Ismael Burgueño, Mayor of the City of Tijuana, claimed that the city is entering a historic era thanks to the approval of multi-year plans, which include initiatives such as lighting 100% of the city’s streets, opening new garbage collection routes, and ensuring 95% coverage of these services.
The mayor acknowledged the support of Baja Californian Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila, as her backing has made this important project possible, allowing for Tijuana’s continued comprehensive development.

Mayor Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana also thanked City Hall and local legislators who voted in favor of carrying out this major municipal project, which is expected to show its first results in approximately 40 days.
In his address to the residents of Residencial del Bosque in the La Presa Abelardo L. Rodríguez Delegation, the mayor committed to paving several roads in the area, including the main entrance to the neighborhood, installing more streetlights, and increasing garbage collection by opening 240 new routes across the city.
At this event, the government of Mayor Ismael Burgueño of Tijuana benefited nearly 700 people by delivering 200 laptops to young people as part of the ‘Lo puedo lograr’ (I Can Achieve It) program, providing a wheelchair, and launching the DIF en tu hogar (DIF at Home) program, which consists of a vehicle to make services accessible for people with mobility challenges.

City Hall brought several services to this Well-Being Event, including modules from DIF Tijuana, Civil Registry, the Municipal Sports Institute, the Municipal Youth Institute, the Municipal Women’s Institute, Social Development, as well as legal and psychological counseling, medical services, political asylum procedure guidance, rabies vaccinations, and deworming, among others.
