Lieutenant Colonel Julián Leyzaola Pérez met with commanders and deputy commanders of the Command Staff of the agency he now leads, marking his first action after assuming the role of Mexicali’s Director of Municipal Public Security.
Before the agency’s top leaders, the new police chief outlined his main lines of work, which include eradicating corruption and reclaiming public spaces for society.
Following his swearing-in, Leyzaola Pérez was welcomed by the former Director of Municipal Public Security, Luis Felipe Chan Baltazar, whom he acknowledged for the work carried out over the past five months and the results achieved.

Later, the new Director of Municipal Public Security held an initial meeting with the top police chiefs of Mexicali, urging them to maintain closer relationships with both their subordinates and the Mexicali community.
To begin with, Leyzaola Pérez ruled out making changes to the agency’s Command Staff, expressing confidence in the current leaders.
