“The Best Torta I’ve Ever Tried”: Arturo Lemmen Highlights Washmobile’s Spectacular Flavor
Tortas Washmobile originated next to the city’s first car wash and have become the most famous tortas in Tijuana and all of Baja California. “We’re going to try one of what is said are the best tortas in the world (…) I’ve been hearing about them for years and finally got to try them. They only have one type of torta, but it’s amazing.”
The recipe for these tortas is simple: they consist of telera bread, beef brisket (suadero), mayonnaise, guacamole, tomato, red onion, and salsa. Despite the simplicity of its ingredients, Lemmen claimed that “it’s the perfect torta just as it is—it doesn’t need anything else,” and described it as one of his favorite things in Tijuana.

The influencer also praised the texture of the bread, which is made on-site, saying that it was “soft and fluffy,” contributing to an even more delicious experience.
Although the torta costs $140 pesos ($7 USD), Lemmen emphasized that it’s definitely worth it, considering the meat’s unique flavor and quality. “It really is the best torta in the world, or even on the planet (laughs). It’s the best torta I’ve ever had in my life,” the influencer stated.
