Governor Marina del Pilar Enhances Children’s Nutrition in Baja California with “Pancita Llena, Corazón Contento” Program

The "Pancita Llena, Corazón Contento" program has aided more than 337,000 Baja Californian children and teenagers in basic education.

Baja Californian Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda officially delivered a cafeteria to Solidaridad 90 elementary school, which will benefit more than 500 students, through the “Pancita Llena, Corazón Contento” program.

In her speech, the governor highlighted that her state administration continues to expand school breakfast and meal coverage as a permanent fixture, part of Baja California’s many transformative actions.

“In our country, one can be a doctor, engineer, lawyer, firefighter, teacher, and president of Mexico. We will provide you with the necessary nutrients so that your tummy is full, your heart is happy, and your mind is well fed so that you can be whatever you want to be,” she said.

The governor reiterated the state administration’s commitment to expanding school infrastructure in Baja California. The cafeteria delivered to Solidaridad 90 elementary school, plus other school enhancements, had an investment of over 600,000 pesos.

Student Jana Castellano Zúñiga thanked Governor Marina del Pilar for her empathy and for bringing the “Pancita Llena, Corazón Contento” program to Solidaridad 90 school, as it will allow the student community to be well fed and prevent malnutrition.

Baja California’s Secretary of Well-Being Netzahualcóyotl Jauregui Santillán recognized the work done by the state’s schoolteachers who have contributed to providing students with better education, which is why it is crucial to motivate children and teenagers with healthy and high-quality meals.

More than 330,000 children and teenagers benefited by “Pancita Llena, Corazón Contento” program promoted by Governor Marina del Pilar

Currently, the “Pancita Llena, Corazón Contento” program has reached over 337,648 Baja Californian children and teenagers in basic education. 100% of the state’s students are benefited by this program, which has received an investment of more than 1.510 billion pesos.

Baja California’s Secretary of Education Luis Gilberto Gallegos Cortés said that thanks to Governor Marina del Pilar’s administration’s vision, significant social projects, such as the school cafeterias, have materialized across the entire state.
