Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda has been named Mexico’s most highly rated governor in a national ranking by Demoscopia Digital and La Jornada.
This agency specialized in public opinion studies revealed that the Baja Californian leader of the National Regeneration Movement Party (MORENA) has an approval rating of 69.7% according to the latest poll made in December 2024.

This means that Governor Marina del Pilar’s approval rating rose from 67.5% to 69.7%. In May 2022, she had been crowned as the best governor in the country and, on many occasions, she was placed in the first few places of this ranking.
Demoscopia Digital polled 1,000 people 18 years of age or older living in Baja California between December 28 and December 31, 2024 through the WhatsApp platform.

Governor Marina del Pilar Elevates Baja California with Strategic Initiatives
Governor Marina del Pilar has stood out due to the multiple projects she has carried out that have established Baja California as a leader state in Mexico, with one of them being the government’s National Development Plan, designed together with the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.
She has also promoted several infrastructure projects in several municipalities such as the paving of Avenida México in Tecate to improve and speed up traffic flows.

Escuadrón Violeta (VIolet Squad) is an initiative that guarantees the safety of women and their families and it has finally been established in the city of Tijuana. New recreational spaces, such as Parque Esperanto, have also been built and enhanced. Plus, more than 3 million illegal goods, valued at 320 million pesos, were seized in a historic moment for the city of Ensenada.
