Aiming to promote gastronomic tourism and share the culinary wealth of Valle de Mexicali, Baja California’s Secretariat of Tourism invites the community to the second edition of Valle Fest – Gastronomic Festival of Valle de Mexicali this coming Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Rancho Arroyo Hondo facilities.

This free event, which will take place from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, will offer attendees a diverse gastronomic experience, including tastings of traditional dishes such as carnitas al chipotle, cahuacerdo, indigenous Cocopah dishes, Valle de Mexicali-style hot dogs, craft beer, and more. Additionally, the Date Dish Contest, which will highlight one of the region’s emblematic ingredients, will also be taking place.

The event will feature a special tribute to Mexicali producer Álvaro Cárdenas Iribe, as well as several recreational activities such as horseback riding, dancing horse exhibitions, Off-Road vehicle displays, folk dance performances, and live music. The grand finale will feature a performance by musical group Los Cadetes de Linares.

Baja California’s Secretariat of Tourism is promoting this grand gastronomic celebration, which highlights the flavors and traditions of Valle de Mexicali and strengthens the region’s cultural and touristic identity.
