Enjoy Baja California with These 6 Events During the Easter Holiday

Baja California is ready to welcome visitors with a diverse lineup of events perfect for a memorable Easter break.

As part of the official launch of the Easter Holiday operations on Avenida Revolución in Tijuana, the Secretary of Tourism of Baja California, Miguel Aguiñiga Rodríguez, confirmed that the state is ready to receive visitors.

“The holiday season is an excellent opportunity to reconnect with the cultural, natural, and culinary richness of the state. From experiencing the most revolutionary cuisine in Mexico and walking our certified trails, to discovering the charm of the magical town of Tecate, Baja California is a privileged destination offering a wide range of experiences for those wishing to delve into our entire territory,” Aguiñiga noted.

Aguiñiga also mentioned the numerous events that mark the beginning of the vacation period, offering unforgettable experiences to locals and tourists alike. Some of them include:

SCORE San Felipe 250

One of the most awaited competitions on the international Off-Road calendar. The 38th edition of the SCORE San Felipe 250 will be held from April 3 to 6. More than 230 teams from countries like Argentina, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, the United States, Japan, and Mexico will participate in this exciting race.

Cycling Ride: Pedaling in Playas de Rosarito

This charitable sporting event will be held on April 5. Starting at the Rosarito Beach Hotel and finishing in the Guadalupe Valley, this 70-kilometer (roughly 43-mile) ride is organized by the Castro Limón Foundation to benefit children with cancer.

Meat Festival in Mexicali

Mexicali will host the fifth edition of the Meat Festival this Saturday, April 5. Attendees will have the chance to sample a broad array of dishes, with approximately 2,000 kilograms of meat cooked throughout the event.

Designed as a family-friendly event, entry will be free for children under 12. As for adults, the general admission ticket will cost 600 pesos, and part of the proceeds will go to a charitable cause.

Mesas Marinas in Ensenada

On April 12, the UABC Cultural Walkway in the Sauzal Unit will host Mesas Marinas, a culinary experience highlighting the best of local cuisine and recently launched wines.

Local and guest chefs will collaborate with vintners and shellfish producers to create a special menu featuring the fresh flavors of Baja California, along with a tasting of premium wine labels.

Shellfish and Wine Festival in Ensenada

The 25th edition of this festival will take place on April 13 at Hotel Coral & Marina, with 80 Baja California wineries offering tastings of over 160 new wine labels. More than 50 regional restaurants will also be there to serve dishes featuring oysters, mussels, and chione clams.

Tianguis Turístico 2025

With events kicking off on April 25, the Tianguis Turístico will mark a historic moment for Baja California, as it welcomes participants from more than 35 countries.

Apart from the main activities, there will be free cultural and gastronomic events open to the public. For example, the Great Taco of Mexico event at the Tijuana Cultural Center (CECUT) on May 1 and 2, where attendees will be able to enjoy tacos from across the country. There will also be a Concert for Peace on Avenida Revolución, featuring the Baja California Orchestra and musical group Nortec.

Baja California is ready for the Easter Break

To ensure a safe and pleasant vacation experience, Baja California’s Tourism Department will conduct monitoring rounds in major tourist zones and coordinate with all levels of government to manage vehicle flow.

Tourist assistance will be available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at six offices and five mobile stations across the state.

Those traveling by road can reach Ángeles Verdes at 078 for free assistance, including emergency support, travel information, and guidance for both locals and tourists.

Visitors may also contact 664 624 2020 for guidance, support, and follow-ups on any complaints.

Lastly, the state government invites tourists to take advantage of special promotions through the Turista en Baja California program, which is free to join.
