Wildfires sparked by the heavy Santa Ana winds have consumed thousands of hectares in Ensenada, Baja California, a serious emergency that threatens both local ecosystems and nearby communities.

This weather phenomenon is known for having dry and hot winds that create the ideal conditions to quickly spread fire, making containment by the volunteer firefighters of La Jolla difficult.
