Baja California’s Secretariat of Tourism has launched the “Destinos de Excelencia Rumbo a Tianguis Turístico 2025” (Destinations of Excellence on the Road to Tianguis Turístico 2025) training cycle in the municipalities of Playas de Rosarito, Tijuana, Tecate, and Ensenada. This program, taking place from February 11 to April 6, 2025, was announced by Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez, head of this agency.
He underscored that these sessions aim to strengthen the professionalization of the tourism industry and are targeted at operational staff in the tourism value chain. Special training for university students who will participate as volunteers in this event of major national significance will also be provided.

The set of subjects will include modules on Tourist Culture, taught by Baja California’s Secretariat of Tourism; Features of Tianguis Turístico México and Baja California as a Venue; Inclusive Tourism; First Aid; Quality of Service; Crisis Management; and Responsible Providers, the latter taught by the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO).
