The Secretariat of Fishing and Aquaculture (SEPESCA) will promote the International Sport Fishing Competition “Copa Baja California” (“Baja California Cup”) that will give winners millions of pesos in prizes.

Fishing State Director, Luis Manuel Robles Riseño, said that the competition will begin on June 17 and 18 in San Luis Gonzaga, Bahía de los Ángeles on July 29 and 30, San Quintín on August 26 and 27, and the finals will take place in Ensenada will take place on September 23 and 24.

The championship is taking place in cooperation with the State Association of Fishing Clubs of Baja California, presided by Julio Meza Virgilio, which will give 200,000 pesos in cash prizes in every tournament.

Among the prizes for the winners is direct access to the traditional tournament “Bisbee´s Of Shore”, that will take place in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur from October 20th to October 23rd.

It should be noted that “Copa Baja California” is a family event for all teams and it includes a children category ages 8 to 14 as well as a women’s category.
