This Saturday, September 19, the Secretary of Health, Alonso Perez Rico, together with the current governor of Baja California, announced the update of the coronavirus course in the state.
Currently the Mexican country registers more than 684 thousand accumulated positive cases of which only 23 thousand 439 are active cases.
The state of Baja California registers a total of 18 thousand 480 confirmed cases of coronavirus, 3 thousand 367 deaths from this virus and 243 reported active cases, of which are distributed in the state as follows:
- Tijuana 5 thousand 890 accumulated cases
- Mexicali 8 thousand 518 accumulated cases
- Ensenada 2 thousand 349 accumulated cases
- Tecate 479 accumulated cases
- Rosarito 331 accumulated cases
- San Quintin/Vicente Guerrero 551 accumulated cases
- San Felipe 297 accumulated cases
Adults 34 years and older are most vulnerable to being infected by this virus.
In terms of hospitalizations, 101 beds are occupied in the state, of which 23 are in Ensenada, 45 in Tijuana and 33 in Mexicali.
