Progress Continues on the Planning for Tianguis Turístico Baja California 2025 in Playas de Rosarito

The 10th City Hall of Playas de Rosarito successfully held the Tourism and Economic Development Commission’s 2nd Ordinary Meeting at the Councilor's Room.

The 10th City Hall of Playas de Rosarito successfully hosted the second regular meeting of the Tourism and Economic Development Commission in the Councilor’s Room.

This meeting was presided over by Mayor Rocío Adame of Rosarito and Baja California’s Secretary of Tourism Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez. Both leaders highlighted the importance of “Tianguis Turístico Baja California 2025” as a crucial driving force for the municipality’s economic outlook and growth.

During the meeting, led by Councilor Alan Bautista, the event’s history, planning, and timeline were reviewed. Councilor Bautista stressed that the Tianguis Turístico, set to take place at the Baja California Center from April 28 to May 1, 2025, will serve as a strategic platform to enhance local tourism, attract investment, and bolster the region’s economy.

Mayor Rocío Adame highlighted the coordinated work carried out by several different institutions and the public sector’s commitment to ensure that the event benefits the business sector, service providers, and the community, boosting Playas de Rosarito’s well-being.

Secretary Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez reaffirmed the state government’s support and underscored that Tianguis Turístico Baja California 2025 will elevate the state’s profile as both a national and international tourist destination.

Irán Leonardo Verdugo, Managing Director of the Tourism and Convention Committee of Playas de Rosarito (COTUCO) and appointed liaison of municipal work coordination, highlighted the excellent collaboration that exists between the City Hall and SECTURE. Thanks to this coordination, Playas de Rosarito became the first municipality to hold a work meeting focused on the progress made in key areas such as hosting, infrastructure, transport, and security.

The City Hall expressed its gratitude to all attendees and participants for their interest and cooperation, reaffirming its commitment to the economic and tourism development of Playas de Rosarito. It was also emphasized that future meetings will continue to be held to ensure the success of Tianguis Turístico Baja California 2025.
