Norma Bustamante of Mexicali attended the Well-Being Commission of the Chamber of Deputies to discuss initiatives that are being implemented in Mexicali to assist the possible arrival of Mexican repatriated migrants.

During her speech, she highlighted the efforts of the municipality to guarantee an adequate welcome. She also spoke of the implemented programs carried out to provide logistics support and safe shelters in coordination with the federal and state governments.

Mayor Bustamante of Mexicali was accompanied by federal deputies Laura Ruiz and Armando Samaniego, who recognized the mayor’s commitment to this initiative and reaffirmed their support to allocate more resources to benefit repatriated migrants.
