Mayor Norma Bustamante of Mexicali met Fernando Carrera, UNICEF representative, at this agency’s office in Mexico City to reaffirm her commitment to children’s and teenagers’ well-being.

Both authorities agreed on the importance of promoting education, health, and nutrition in minors and guaranteeing the full exercise of their rights.
“Protecting children and teenagers is a priority for the Mexicali government. That’s why we are meeting with organizations such as UNICEF to implement concrete actions to guarantee their well-being,” Norma Bustamante, Mayor of Mexicali, said.
Fernando Carrera thanked the Mayor’s visit, with whom he reinforced friendship bonds and exchanges of ideas to propose initiatives in favor of children and teenagers.
