Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, through the Secretariat of Well-Being, announced the start of registration to access assistance programs in 2025 with the aim of providing economic support to families across the state.
Those who register, she said, will receive a card providing financial support ranging from 1,000 to 1,500 pesos to help cover water bills, and from 800 to 1,500 pesos for domestic electricity payments, depending on the city.
She explained that registration will take place at the Secretariat of Well-Being Delegation in each municipality. Applicants must bring copies of their INE identification, CURP, and a water or electricity bill no older than three months. The registration period will run from February 4 to February 28 of this year, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Governor Marina del Pilar explained that if the bills are not under the applicant’s name, proof of relationship with the homeowner, along with properly related documentation, must be provided. Additionally, applicants must submit proof of income and two contact phone numbers and complete the registration form.
The governor also explained that water bill aid will be applied to bills from May to September, while electricity bill aid will be applied to bills from May to October. Aid will only be applied to the account or service numbers provided in the registration form.
The “Con el Corazón por el Agua” (With Heart for Water) card can only be used at ATMs or service windows of the State Commission of Public Utilities in each city, while the “Ilumina tu Día” (Light Up Your Day) program card can be used at CFE ATMs or CFE branches. In case of theft or loss of either card, a replacement can be requested at Secretariat of Well-Being offices in the seven municipalities.
