Mexico’s Secretary of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, and Baja California’s Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez, held a meeting with airline industry leaders to highlight the strategic opportunity of the first binational edition of Tianguis Turístico, which will be hosted in Baja California.
Tianguis Turístico in Baja California aims to expand business opportunities by establishing the multi-destination concept between the southern US and Mexico. This event offers a unique platform for airlines, providing the opportunity to increase flight seat demand to Mexico by promoting it as an attractive destination as well as forging valuable commercial relations with travel agencies, tourism operators, and other key entities in the industry.
Aiming to establish a closer relationship with the airline industry, the state government of Baja California and Mexico’s Secretariat of Tourism suggested a Hosted Buyers program. This initiative will reward people with transport, lodging, options to explore Baja California, official certifications, and specific business appointment schedules.
