Liga MX, the fourth best attended league in the world

Liga MX is only behind German, English, and Spanish leagues.

TIJUANA - According to study done in Brazil the Liga MX is the fourth best league in the world according to attendance.

With an average attendance of 24,245 people per game Liga MX only falls behind Bundesliga from Germany (42,646 per game), Premier League in England (35, 921 per game), and La Liga in Spain (28,616 per game).

According to the Brazilian study 53% of Mexican stadiums count with full attendance during all 17 league games.

Ironically these numbers show a 4% decline from the season before where there was higher attendance.

Estadio Caliente in Tijuana is an example of the high attendance in Mexican soccer stadiums, there was usually a sell-out crowd at each of the nine home games.

The only game that didn’t have a good attendance in the Estadio Caliente was during the round of 16 match of the Copa Libertadores against Palmeiras; there were only 14,000 fans there for that game.

Little by little the Liga MX is demonstrating that it is a spectacular league and that going to the stadium is still a family experience.
