Warning issued by authorities due to delays at San Diego-Tijuana ports of entry during these days

Authorities from the Otay Chamber of Commerce warned travelers that wish to cross the Tijuana border to expect delays at the ports of entry due to a section of 2nd Street in Downtown Tijuana being closed.

This closure will take place from March 26 to April 1, which will cause delays and traffic for those who visit from San Diego to Tijuana during these days.

Holy Week celebrations will cause a great number of people to visit Tijuana, which will cause more traffic in the area, which is why people are recommended to check on border crossing lines before going out.

In addition, Thursday, March 28 and Friday, March 29 are considered holidays in several workplaces in Mexico, which means that Mexico Customs will modify its assistance hours as such:

Since Wednesday, drivers wanting to get into Tijuana have been waiting in long lines, something they have shared on social media through photos and complaints due to the great number of vehicles and the long hours.
