Starting on Thursday, November 2, the Secretariat of Territory, Urban, and Environmental Development (SDTUA) began adaptation work at Avenida Internacional. This project has a goal to prepare alternate routes before this avenue is partially closed, and are a part of the preventive and strengthening actions on this area.

Avenida Internacional, where work is being carried out as part of the Elevated Viaduct, is one of Tijuana's main traffic roads, with a daily traffic flow of 73,000 cars. Due to the importance of this road, measures have been implemented regarding a proactive strategy to minimize the impact of mobility in the city.

The mayor of Tijuana informed the following: "Starting on Thursday, November 2, SDTUA will carry out adaptation work at Avenida Internacional. This will be a preventive measure in order to prepare alternate routes during the partial closure at Avenida Internacional. We expect that, on Tuesday, November 7, this work will be finished."

It is important to note that the Elevated Viaduct is a project led by the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) and its execution is an investment meant for Tijuana made by the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

According to SDTUA, the goal of these actions is to improve infrastructure in Tijuana and guarantee its continuous development. The Municipal Administration of Tijuana thanks the comprehension and collaboration of people during this period of adaptation.
